Samento is a rare, very pure form of Cat’s Claw that has anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor and anti-oxidant properties. Studies show it to be beneficial in the treatment of a wide range of immune system related conditions, not only for people but pets as well. The beneficial properties of Samento are attributed to the pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids, POAs, that are found in the plant and act on the cellular immune system and demonstrate powerful modulating properties.

Unlike traditional Cat’s Claw products, SAMENTO does not contain a group of chemical antagonists called tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (TOAs) that act upon the central nervous system and greatly inhibit its effectiveness. SAMENTO contains a standardized amount of pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids (POAs) that act on the cellular immune system and demonstrate powerful immune system modulating properties. According to research conducted in Austria, traditional Cat’s Claw products may contain as much as 80% TOAs, and as little as 1% TOAs can cause a 30% reduction in immune system modulating properties that POAs provide. This may explain why large dosages, at times far exceeding 20,000 mg per day, of traditional Cat’s Claw containing TOAs are required to obtain some results in treating the previously mentioned immune system related conditions.

Many Cat’s Claw distributors don’t distinguish between the chemotypes. The POAs and TOAs are often mixed and sold as a Cat’s Claw product. No mention of any alkaloid content is made on many Cat’s Claw products’ packaging. If the product label doesn’t give the amount of TOAs, chances are it contains TOAs. Usually product label will state “TOA free”

We found the followin quote on the Internet.
“I am wondering why doesn’t everyone just jump onto the Samento? With all the good feedbacks posted on the net even comparing it to antibiotic treatment why not just cough up the bucks get on it and hope for the best.2 1/2 weeks ago when i started it i was a mess pain, arthritis, diabetic all kinds of new monster symptoms, Now i am down to a few aches and pains a day, all joint swelling is gone.I do not think its a co-incidence.More Samento feedback please!”

Did you  know that more than 60% of male Americans have a deficiency of zinc? Male semen has 100 times more zinc than the blood! Here is another the fact: You might have read somewhere that DHT (dihydrotestosterone) causes the prostate to grow.

WAIT! Maybe I am getting ahead of myself, let’s start again.

The prostate gland is highly unusual because it undergoes an increase in size at several stages during most of a man’s life.

* The first growth phase is completed before or at birth, when the average prostate weighs about 1.5 grams.

* The second growth phase occurs early during puberty, when the weight of the prostate gland increases to around 11 grams.

* The third growth phase occurs during the mid-20s, when the weight of the prostate gland increases to approximately 18 grams.

* There is another apparent growth phase that begins when a man is in his 50s. Size varies depending on the males health.

* By the time a man is in his 70s, the prostate gland has reached a maximum weight of 31 grams.

Although the prostate gland grows during much of a man’s life, urinary flow problems Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy (BPH) and/or cancer usually appears only after the age of 50 as a consequence of the final growth phase.

The medical researchers don’t really know yet why the prostate gland enlarges during multiple growth spurts. However, there are two theories that attempt to explain this pheomenon. Both theories believe
hormonal changes over time are responsible.

(1) Changes in the normal balance of sex hormones. With advancing age, the amount of the male hormone testosterone The primary male reproductive hormone. Made in the testes, it is responsible for the growth and maturation of the primary male reproductive organs and the development of characteristics such as a low-pitched voice, the male’s unique distribution of body hair, the relative lack of fat below the skin, and bigger bone structure. , decreases relative to the amount of circulating estrogen

A female hormone that is also normally found in small quantities in a man’s bloodstream., the main female reproductive hormone which also circulates in the male.

There is some evidence to suggest that this relative increase in circulating estrogen may strengthen the effect of the testosterone derivative DHT, which promotes cell growth in the prostate gland and is formed when testosterone is acted upon by a specific enzyme. As a consequence of estrogen and DHT acting together, cell growth and glandular enlargement are promoted.

NOTE: Ah-ha, DHT seems to get out of control and may be the cause of BPH. Every wonder exactly what DHT is? Well here you go. DHT  is a biologically active metabolite of the hormone testosterone, formed primarily in the prostate gland, testes, hair follicles, and adrenal glands by the enzyme 5a-reductase by means of reducing the 4,5 double-bond. DHT belongs to the class of compounds called androgens, also commonly called androgenic hormones or testoids. Androgens are part of the biology of gender by stimulating and controlling the development and maintenance of masculine characteristics. DHT is 3 times more potent than testosterone; testosterone is 5-10 times more potent than adrenal androgens.

(2) Now here is the 2nd theory about DHT. Prostate gland development requires the conversion of testosterone into DHT. In the presence of a specific enzyme called 5-alpha reductase. As aging occurs, the amount of DHT in the prostate gland remains high, even through the circulating testosterone level drops.

Some evidence supports the idea that this high level of prostate DHT may by itself promote cell growth and lead to enlargement.

Now after that introduction we come to zinc. The role of zinc in a wide range of cellular processes, including cell division (ah - that means getting larger - right?) and proliferation, immune function, and defense against free radicals, has been well established. Zinc is the most abundant trace element in cells, and increasing evidence emphasizes zinc’s important role in both genetic stability and function.

Zinc deficiency can lead to immune dysfunction and impairments in growth, cognitive function, and hormonal function. Over 2 billion people worldwide may have a zinc deficiency, you don’t need to be one of them.

Research has established a link between zinc deficiency and cancer is now established by human, animal, and cell culture studies. We also know that zinc status is compromised in cancer patients compared to healthy people.

Zinc also appears to play an important role in maintaining prostate health. Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in American men, and most elderly men have some abnormal prostate cells. BPH may or may not be a precursor to prostate cancer. The normal human prostate ccumulates the highest level of zinc of any soft tissue in the body, but we don’t know why. However, cancerous prostates have much less zinc than normal rostates, and several studies have implicated impaired zinc status in the development and progression of prostate malignancy. There is also some evidence that ncreased dietary zinc is associated with a decrease in the incidence of prostate cancer.

Zinc supplementation strategies may not only aid in the prevention of ancer, but could also play an important role in limiting its malignancy. As an antioxidant and a component of many DNA repair proteins, zinc plays an important role in protecting DNA from damage. The current tolerable upper intake level for zinc is 40 mg/day, established by the U.S. Institute of Medicine. Thus, it is possible that the subjects in the epidemiological study could have been in the toxic range of zinc intake. As with most therapeutics, higher doses do not always equate with an increase in
efficacy.

Just as a final note, zinc has some positive side effects such as: effective in shortening cold symptoms, reduce the severity of cold sores, increase energy levels, treat ADHD in children, fighting hair loss and managing conditions such as hypoglycemia and diabetes. The negative side effect of zine could include: A decrease your copper, iron and magnesium levels, reduce your body’s immune function, and reduce your HDL (good cholesterol) level. Additional rare side effects could include: stomach upset, heartburn and nausea, fever, sore throat, mouth sores, weakness and fatigue.

There is some hope in clinical trials. Irving Bush, M.D., professor of urology at the University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medical School, senior consultant at the Center for Study of Genitourinary Diseases in West Dundee, Illinois, and former chairman of the Food and Drug Administration panels on gastroenterology, urology and dialysis, did a small study of the use of zinc in treating BPH. The men in the study took 150 milligrams of inc sulfate every day for two months, followed by 50 to 100 milligrams a day as a maintenance dose. Dr. Bush found that 14 of the 19 men experienced shrinkage of the prostate. Check out

Do you like to put drops or any medication in you eye? I don’t. But the doctors in Europe have developed a natural ingredient that can safely and painlessly break up cataracts. Yes this is the elimination of cataracts without surgery. Read on.

It combines N-acertyl L-carnosine with vitamins A and E and at this point it seems to have the ability to reverse the aging process of the cells that lead to cataracts.

This process has been in research and development for many years. They finally came up with an eyedrop formula that is claimed to improve vision.

Now you may be wondering, “How does this work:?

I will try to explain it as simply as possible. The lens of the eye is made up of mostly a protein and water that combine as a clear tissue that allows light to pass through and focus on the retina. Over time, the tissue can become damaged by free radicals (yep those little pesky critters) There are many reasons for this but some of the most common reasons are diabetes, long-term use of corticosteroids, heredity, ultra-violet light, poor nutrition, SMOKING, high blood pressure and aging.

Another major cause of damage to they eye, and this is a BIG one, is glycation. Glycation occurs when sugars combine with proteins to create a whole new type of compound called glycated proteins. These product 50 times - yep 50 - more free radicals than normal proteins. If you don’t know what “free-radicals” are, go to Google and use the keyword
“free-radical theory” - using the quotes together with the keyword phrase. The Wiki site with the explanation should be the first on the list.

The end result of this damage is that the water-soluble structural proteins in the lens of the eye clump together. This causes the characteristic clouding of the eye lens associated with cataracts.

You may be wondering - “What process do the doctors use to correct this condition?”

They need to break down the protein clumps to restore transparency and reduce the internal pressure of the eye. That is exactly what
N-acertyl L-carnosine with vitamins A and E does.

The common treatment for cataracts is surgery. Do the doctors guarantee 100% that the surgery will be successful?, of course not! The doctors will explain that is a simple surgery done thousands of times a day with no complications, but there is always that ONE! So why risk it?

The doctor will explain that the surgery is so simple, that the damaged lens is removed and replaced with a synthetic lens implant, that’s it. Sounds so simple, but as it turns out this simple cataract surgery is actually a 2-part ordeal, and they really don’t mention the 2nd part.

This new lens implant is held in place inside the eye by a thin membrane called the posterior capsule, part of the original covering of the lens that is intentionally left behind for this purpose.

The problem is, in up to 50% of patients who have this procedure, the lens capsule begins clouding up again within 2 years. Now this isn’t quite the same thing as the cataract reoccurring since the cloudy posterior capsule is now much thinner than before and it can be opened up with a laser beam. But still this is “another” surgery and is considered a follow-up visit. Do you really want to expose yourself to surgery complications - twice? I don’t!

This formula contains vitamin A which is essential for the health and function of epithelial cells, the cells in the top-most layer of tissues like those in the lens of the eye. Vitamin E can increase the survival time of corneal endothedial cells, decrease inflammation, speed up healing of eye tissues, regenerate glutathione in the eye.

What is amazing is that this compound is able to slowly permeate the lens of the eye.

After the compound enters the lipid components of the eye, the NAC transforms into L-carnoisine and this small molecule performs a remarkable variety of functions, mainly anti-oxidation and anti-glycation.

Finally, a Russian randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study in 2001 for a period of 24 months, using a similar formula provided the following results. Of a total of 49 patients, average age 65, with cataracts ranging from severe to minimal, found that the amount of light increased in 42% of the subjects. Glare sensitivity improved 89%, overall vision improved 90%. These improvements held up for the full 24-month period of the study.

Eighty-nine percent (89%) of the patients receiving the placebo had their vision become more limiting.

Some subjects of this study noticed an improvement in eyesight at three months. Most saw an improvement at six months

You could be giving this everyday ingredient to your kids and other family members and adding to their chances of going blind for life.

Do you believe that butter which is full of saturated fat is bad for your health? Haven’t all the health nutritionists and doctors been telling us this for the last 20-30 years?

Now I am asking… compared to what?

Now we have vegetable (corn, soybean, safflower and others), which when are heated they form a compound called HNE. This compound attacks your arteries, nerves and eye tissue. It acts like sulfuric acid which is used to etch glass.

HNE has found to be a contributor to Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Huntington’s, live disease and macular degeneration (ARMD).
Macular degeneration is a medical condition which results in a loss of vision in the center of the visual field (the macular) because of damage to the retina.

This was discovered when Dr. Paul Beaumont, an Australian doctor, found through research that there has been a ten-fold (1,000%) increase in macular degeneration in the last 10-25 years.. Dr. Beaumont and other researchers observed that this coincidentally happened when the general public stopped using butter and lard because of concerns regarding saturated fat. Haven’t we been told for decades that saturated fat is bad for our health?

Practically every baby boomer has been consuming vegetable oil in some form since birth. Today is almost impossible to find processed food that doesn’t contain, or has been prepared with, vegetable oil. For instance, some tune is packed in vegetable oil. You can find it in bread and salad dressings, dips, cookies, crackers and breaded foods.

If you value your eyesight and the eyesight of your children stop the consumption of any vegetable oil and related products right now!

Don’t believe any of the propaganda about vegetable oil being “heart healthy” - it is not - it has probably contributed to millions of deaths and tens of thousands of cases of macular degeneration. Fifteen million in the USA currently have some degree of macular degeneration.

Macular degeneration is a horrible disease and vision can deteriorate within months to blindness. With the absolute best medical treatment available today, only about 10% are able to save some degree of eyesight.

Throw out all: any type vegetable oil, corn oil, soybean oil, safflower oil, margarine and anything related to vegetable oil.

Switch to organic coconut oil, olive oil, macadamina oil and if nothing else is available, lard. Lard, believe it or not, is better than any type of vegetable oil.

Do not wait for the BIG medical announcement. Remember that the FDA and many other agencies are slow to react to such issues are described above. They don’t want to panic the public. Often times when they do make an announcement a lot of damage has already been done and it could take 20+ years to “undo” the damage.

Don’t be a victim!

The immune system is made up of a network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect the body. Immune systems appear even in the most structurally-simple forms of life, with bacteria using a unique defense mechanism, called the restriction modification system to protect themselves from viral pathogens, called bacteriophages. Immune system disorders occur when the immune response is inappropriate, excessive, or lacking. Fortunately for most of us, the immune system is constantly on call to do battle with bugs that could put us out of commission.

The immune system has a series of dual natures, the most important of which is self/non-self recognition. Each cell in our body has an antigen that tells the immune system that it is part of us and should not be eliminated. It is through antigens that the immune system knows which cells to attack and which to leave alone. Sometimes the process breaks down and the immune system attacks self-cells. This is the case of autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and some forms of arthritis and diabetes.

The innate immune system is the dominant system of host defense in most organisms. The innate immune system comprises the cells and mechanisms that defend the host from infection by other organisms, in a non-specific manner. This means that the cells of the innate system recognize, and respond to, pathogens in a generic way, but unlike the adaptive immune system, it does not confer long-lasting or protective immunity to the host. Innate immune defenses are non-specific, meaning these systems respond to pathogens in a generic way. Natural killer cells, or NK cells, are a component of the innate immune system.

Both innate and adaptive immunity depend on the ability of the immune system to distinguish between self and non-self molecules. Helper T cells regulate both the innate and adaptive immune responses and help determine which types of immune responses the body will make to a particular pathogen. Adaptive immune responses are actually reactions of the immune system to structures on the surface of the invading organism called antigens. The immune system is enhanced by sleep and rest, and is impaired by stress.

One of the drawbacks of chemotherapy treatment for cancer, for example, is that it not only attacks cancer cells, but other fast-growing, healthy cells, including those found in the bone marrow and other parts of the immune system. In cancer cells, genetic changes cause changes in the cell-surface antigens such that the person’s immune system (hopefully) no longer recognizes them as “self” and destroys them. Boosting the immune system has been shown to be therapeutically valuable in treating a wide variety of cancers, chronic viral infections and other illnesses. Some cells of the immune system can recognize cancer cells as abnormal and kill them. But some new treatments aim to use the immune system to fight cancer.

Another important role of the immune system is to identify and eliminate tumors. To the immune system, these antigens appear foreign, and their presence causes immune cells to attack the transformed tumor cells. The main response of the immune system to tumors is to destroy the abnormal cells using killer T cells, sometimes with the assistance of helper T cells. Clearly, some tumors evade the immune system and go on to become cancers. However, if the immune system is stressed and not functioning properly, a cancer cell may multiply before the immune system has a chance to kill it.

The immune system is complex, intricate and interesting. Protect the immune system and you will live a long healthy life. To understand the power of the immune system, all that you have to do is look at what happens to anything once it dies. That sounds gross, but it does show you something very important about your immune system. Although the immune system is extremely complex, its basic strategy is simple: to recognize the enemy, mobilize forces, and attack. Your immune system is under assault from herbicides, pesticides and food additives, and also from the immense amount of radiation that is part of our everyday life today. Protect the immune system and you will live a long healthy life.
